This is an advanced course in navigation and meteorology for candidates for the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore practical certificates. There is some provision for the revision of subjects covered in the Day Skipper syllabus, but those who have not acquired this knowledge are unlikely to be able to assimilate the subjects covered in this advanced course.
Course Content: navigation, meteorology, collision avoidance, safety and passage planning.
Ability after Course: understands the principles of navigating for coastal and offshore passages.
Duration: 40 hours + 3 assessment papers.
