A comprehensive introduction to chart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship for crew and aspiring skippers. Although no previous knowledge is assumed, some practical experience is desirable.
Course Content: basic seamanship and introduction to meteorology.
Ability after Course: the syllabus arms would-be skippers with sufficient knowledge to navigate in familiar waters by day.
Duration: 40 hours + 2 assessment papers.
