Speedbird Offshore Yacht Club
The club’s newest yacht

Speedbird

Speedbird is the newest yacht in the fleet, a modern Bavaria C38: bright, spacious below and easy to handle on deck.

She carries on a name the club has given its flagship boat for decades. This is the sixth Speedbird, and she replaced the Bénéteau Oceanis 37 in 2026.

Cabins & crew

Three double cabins plus two berths in the saloon, sleeping up to eight, with a maximum crew of eight on passage, although we normally limit this to five sleeping aboard and six aboard for day trips. Modern, well-lit accommodation and a comfortable cockpit for sailing in company.

Sailing her

Maintained to a high standard, with the latest B&G chart plotter and instruments: GPS, radar, DSC VHF, and depth, log and wind. Roller-furling headsail, lazy-jacks and an electric anchor windlass keep her simple, and a cruising chute and performance furling reacher come aboard when the wind goes aft.
